The Start Menu is the central hub for everything in Windows 10, and because of that, its default look is very “stock”.
The good news is there are plenty of ways to customize the Start Menu to make it fit your personal style. From resizing tiles, to changing the color, and even picking what folders you see, we’ll show you all the ways you can change it up.
To add or remove locations on the Start menu,
01. Click on the Start Menu. It’s the Windows icon in the bottom left corner.
02. Click on Settings.
03. Click on Personalization.
04. Click on Start.
05. Click on Choose which folders appear on Start.
06. Click on the switch under the folder you want to add.
You can easily reverse this action by following these exact same steps
Windows 10 brings back the Start menu, and it’s not exactly like Windows 7s – it includes live tiles that were first introduced in Windows 8. But the cool thing is that it’s highly customizable, even more so than in Windows 7.
One thing you might want to do is add links to more folder locations than what is offered by default, say Videos for example.
The locations we’re talking about here are the ones that appear on the left column under the Most used and Recently added groups. In the shot below you can see it’s currently displaying links to Documents, Music, File Explorer, and Settings. Here’s how to change that up according to your needs.
