They are best known for their amazing eye-spotted tail, they fascinating Tail Feathers stretches like a fan.
The Beautiful Peacock as commonly name as Peafowl.

The name ‘peacock’ only applies to the male gender of the species, whereas females go by ‘peahen.’
A Newly hatched young are called ‘peachicks.’

They are omnivorous birds they will eat plants and animals

Peacock feathers are called a ‘train’. A Peacock train can only develop after 3 years.

Did you know that Peafowls can also fly?
Peafowls have four toes on each foot.
Here are the Species of Peafowls
First Indian peafowl originally of the Indian subcontinent,
Next is the green peafowl of Southeast Asia
The last one African specie is the Congo peafowl, native only to the Congo Basin.

The average lifespan of peafowl is between 10-20 years.
At least, that is the case when they are in the wild. On the contrary, they can live up to 50 years when they are kept under captivity, Zoo maintained.

These colorful creature boast impressively sized and patterned plumage that they fan out for display purposes – peacocks fan out their feathers as part of a courtship ritual to attract a mate. When a male courts a female, he spreads out his tail feathers to display his colors and eyespots fully for her to see

ANOTHER REASON peacocks spread their feathers either as a way to attract a mate, or to scare away predators. If you sneak up and corner one, it will lift up its feathers and look right at you threateningly until you leave it be.
