Description
Pathimalai Hill is located in the village of Kumittipathi near Coimbatore. Ancient cave painting is found here. Various information is known about this painting which was painted 3 thousand years ago. There is a Murugan temple on Padimalai hill. At its base is a large number of paintings. In ancient times white liquid was used to paint this painting. The details of this fluid are not known. The painting depicts elephants and humans controlling them. The painting is 4 feet wide, 2 feet high and vertical. This painting seems to have been created in such a way as to inform the future generations about the way of life of the ancient people.
